Whitening

We offer a take-home whitening option. This is safe, easy and simple to complete comfortably at home. We make custom trays from molds of your teeth to maximize the usability of our take-home whitening gel. Our at-home whitening will give you results much quicker than over-the-counter whitening kits.

Sealants

A dental sealant is an easy, non-invasive procedure where a thin plastic film is painted on the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars. A sealant fills the grooves found on the teeth so food debris and bacteria won't get stuck there. This procedure is needed when a patient is at a high risk for future cavities.

Fillings

A composite (white) filling is a tooth-colored plastic and glass mixture used to restore decayed teeth. We also utilize amalgam (silver) fillings on occasion, when placing a composite filling is not viable.

Crowns

Crowns solve issues related to: cracked teeth, large fillings that may have broken down, and large cavities. They also help protect a tooth from fracture after a root canal treatment. A crown will look and feel just like your other teeth. Custom color matching and precise adjustments are recorded so your new crown is a perfect fit!

Implant Crowns

Similar to a regular crown, an implant crown functions the same way, except it is designed to be placed on an implant (titanium screw functioning as a root). We work with local Oral Surgeons for implant placement, and when the implant has healed, we make the crown.

Dentures

We offer both full dentures (all teeth missing) as well as partial dentures (many teeth missing). A denture case typically requires 5 appointments over a period of about 1.5 months to complete. This enables us to get all the impressions needed to make a complete and comfortable set of dentures for you.

Botox

Patients with various types of TMJ Disorder can benefit from Botox treatment as it relaxes the hyperactivity of the muscles. Bruxism and clenching can also be minimized. Botox can reduce the “gummy smile” of high lip lines without gingival surgery and crown lengthening. These benefits don’t even include the most popular cosmetic benefits – a smoother, more even, youthful look.

Root Canal Treatments

Dentist
performing a root canal procedureUnderneath your tooth's outer enamel and within the dentin is an area of soft tissue called the pulp tissue. While a tooth's pulp tissue does contain nerve fibers, it is also composed of arteries, veins, lymph vessels, and connective tissue. Each tooth's nerve enters the tooth at the very tip of its roots. From there, the nerve runs through the center of the root in small root canals which then join up with the tooth's pulp chamber. Root canals are very small, thin divisions that branch off from the top pulp chamber down to the tip of the root. A tooth has at least one but usually no more than four root canals.

Root canal therapy is necessary because the tooth will not heal by itself. Without treatment, the infection will spread, bone around the tooth will begin to degenerate and the tooth may fall out. Pain usually worsens until one is forced to seek emergency dental attention. The only alternative is usually extraction of the tooth, which can cause surrounding teeth to shift crookedly, resulting in a poor bite. Though an extraction is cheaper, the space left behind will require an implant or a bridge, which can be more expensive than root canal therapy. It is our belief that if given a choice, you should always try to keep your original teeth.

A root canal is a procedure done to save the damaged or dead pulp in the root canal of the tooth by cleaning out the diseased pulp and reshaping the canal. The canal is filled with a rubber-like substance called gutta percha to prevent recontamination of the tooth. The tooth is then permanently sealed, with possibly a post and/or a crown made of porcelain or metal alloy. This enables patients to keep their original tooth.

Extractions

A dental extraction is the removal of teeth from the dental bone.

Extractions are performed for a variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become un-restorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.
