Kandi Dental Center - Dr. Nicholas Marcus DDS

Kandi Dental adheres to the following Office Policies:

1. Appointments

Several staff members are employed to ensure that visits to our office are mutually time and cost effective for our patients and our practice. In order to maintain the integrity of our schedule, we must hold STRICTLY to the following standards:

1.) It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to remember your appointment time. However, we will attempt to remind you with a text message and/or courtesy call.

2.) We require 24 hours notice for any cancellation, or rescheduling of your appointment. Providing less than 24 hours notice is considered a broken appointment.

3.) Arriving 10 minutes or more after your appointment time is considered a broken appointment and your appointment will be rescheduled.

4.) Repeated broken appointments may result in being dismissed from the practice.

2. Hygiene

Kandi Dental understands the importance of maintaining a doctor-patient relationship and regular hygiene visits. We require our patients to keep up with regular hygiene appointments for the benefit of their health.

A patient who has not received a regular hygiene appointment in 24 months is subject to dismissal from the practice as this can present a liability for our dental licenses.

3. Standard of Care

Kandi Dental has a standard of care that typically recommends bitewing xrays taken every 12 months and a PAN taken every 5 years for most patients. While there are exceptions to this, the patient would have to meet very specific criteria to be exempt from this recommendation.

Please ask to see our Standard of Care regarding radiographic images if you have any further questions.

4. Insurance Benefits

Kandi Dental will do our best to maximize the use of your dental benefits. However, it is imperative that you understand that our care for you will be done in YOUR best interest – not that of the insurance companies.

Kandi Dental does not file, under any circumstances, for medical coverage with your insurance company. We also do not accept payments from Worker’s Compensation.

You will be required to pay in full for services and be responsible for filing any claim(s).

5. Divorce/Separation/Custody Agreements

This practice is not a party to your divorce agreement. Therefore, the parent or guardian who COMPLETES and SIGNS our Consent form will be considered the Guarantor regardless of insurance coverage.

Please ask to see our full policy if there are further questions.
